Valid Texas driver’s license

Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions

Ability to operate riding or power mower, power tools, and hand tools

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Grounds and Landscaping
- Mow and detail all athletic fields.
- Maintain athletic fields by watering, controlling weeds, planting grass see and applying fertilizer.
- Assist with the preparation of athletic fields for practices and games
- Oversee the collection and disposal of leaves, dirt, rubbish, and refuse from the athletic fields and surrounding areas
- Assist with the inspection, repair, and installation of sprinkler systems on athletic fields
Safety
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
- Help keep vehicle, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
- Inspect and adjust tools and equipment for safety and efficiency and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
Other
- Transport equipment to work sites throughout the district.
- Wash and dry all athletic apparel after practices and games
- Deliver, collect and secure ticket boxes at athletic events
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain positive and effective communications and relationships with supervisors and colleagues.
